WSFS Bank is currently seeking a Quality Control Specialist. The Quality Control Specialist will act as gatekeeper to ensure that the highest quality standards are maintained throughout the Residential Mortgage and Retail New loan and Modifications processes and ongoing portfolio reviews.
Job Responsibilities:
  • Perform post-closing documentation and system review of all new Residential Mortgage and Retail Loan Products, ensuring compliance with Bank Policy, Government Regulations and System Accuracy.
  • Perform ongoing system reviews, as required, for items such as Escrow Record Setup, Modification. Maintenance, and Due Date Changes to ensure ongoing accuracy for Customer Loan Records
  • Take necessary action to avoid Customer or Bank Impact, including detailed review of Loan. Estimate/Closing Disclosures for compliance, Title Policies to ensure necessary endorsements are obtained, easements and encroachments are insured and applicable coverage and lien position is obtained
  • Track and follow up on all critical documents or errors, taking remedial action when necessary and will maintain database of findings and will report trends and exceptions to Management.
  • Track and follow up on any missing documentation.
  • Customer Service for Internal and External Customers via Department Hotline, various email mailboxes, and workflow systems.
  • Review various reports for accuracy and resolve items based on specific criteria and/or data, documentation of findings and communication of findings to Management via spreadsheets or other reporting mechanisms.
  • Communicate and work with Internal and External Business Partners such as Audit, Compliance and Vendor's, as necessary to ensure the Department is meeting its Regulatory and other Loan Servicing requirements and responsibilities.
  • Customer Service in the manner of answering questions, resolving issues and requests for information

Minimum Qualifications:
  • High School diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Minimum 3 years' experience in Retail Loan Servicing or Originations.
  • Prior experience in a high-volume loan servicing and support environment, preferably with some Quality Control review experience.
  • Familiarity with Loan Servicing Systems and Applications.
  • Prior Customer Service experience, including verbal and written communications.
  • Thorough and demonstrated understanding of Retail Lending Banking regulations including but not limited to Truth in Lending (Reg Z), National Flood Insurance requirements (NFIP), Biggert/Waters Act, RESPA, Fair Lending, Fair Credit Reporting Act and BSA as it relates to the Retail Lending Function.
  • Practical knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures within a Loan Servicing environment for Mortgage and Retail Loans, including but not limited to Loan Review, General Ledger, Core System Review.
  • Knowledge of Bank loan products and services, as well as general accounting and exception processing practices.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Must have strong organizational and multi-tasking skills and be able to successfully work under pressure to meet strict deadlines.
  • Must have a proven ability to develop relationships, with external sourced vendors and Business Partners across the organization.
  • Good Listening skills with ability to research, document and articulate findings as required.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office products, including Word, Excel and Power Point.
  • Must be self-motivated and able to work with minimal supervision.
  • Technical Analysis skills involving reviewing Loan Core System and Loan Documentation for accuracy, completeness, and Regulatory Compliance.
  • Decision Making skills required to complete loan review tasks and complete remediation maintenance correctly.
  • Must understand when to escalate matters to Management appropriately.

Salary Range:
$45,250.00 - $74,338.75
Individual base pay may vary on additional factors such as the candidate's experience, job-related skills, relevant education, geographic location, and other specific business and organizational needs.
In addition to base salary, WSFS Financial Corporation (WSFS) and its subsidiaries may offer eligible Associates discretionary and formula-based incentive and retention awards.
