Job description

PRIMARY FUNCTION
This position performs various daily functions within the Risk department including, but not limited to review of new accounts loaded to the system. Review daily input for proper system coding, regulatory compliance with various regulations, legal documentation as appropriate for each type of account, and general policy and procedure guidelines to mitigate potential risk to the Bank for penalties and fines for non-compliance. Reviews maintenance that is completed by branch personnel as well as Deposit Services, and reports are reviewed for accuracy. Interacts with other bank personnel regarding exceptions and errors and communicates issues, training, and risk to all levels of management.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Reviews new deposit accounts, signature cards and CIP forms against checklist for Quality Assurance. Deposit accounts include the following: Savings, Checking, Certificates of Deposit. If discrepancies are located, tracks the exceptions on a designated spreadsheet for correction by branch personnel, as well as maintains it daily.
Review account opening documentation to ensure Bank policies and procedures are followed and CIP verifications are completed. Ensure documentation is complete with proper signatures and requirements according to the type of account, i.e. Trust Documents, Corporate Resolutions and other business documents, and any other legal documents associated with the account type.
Reviews all account maintenance documentation received through Director from other bank operations departments to verify changes to customer accounts are processed accurately and within compliance of bank policies and procedures.
Reviews report for debit cards issued in the branches, to ensure debit cards are completed by appropriate staff.
Identifies maintenance performed on accounts from established queries and system reports; and ensures general policy and procedure guidelines are followed. Tracks any exceptions on a designated spreadsheet for correction by branch personnel as well as maintains it daily. Develops new queries to ensure accuracy and integrity of the system. Reports that require regular monitoring include but are not limited to the following: Account Maintenance Activity including Activity Exception Management (AEM), ATM Card Orders, Closed Accounts, COD Debits, COD Posted Transactions, DDA Charge Off Recap, Daily Deposit Rate Changes, various RRM Reports and Stop Pay Reports. Identifies clean-up issues for follow-up and resolution.
Maintain records of reports and other documents according to regulatory retention guidelines.
Reviews Reg CC holds, COD Holds, Savings Holds, and compares item held to form completed by branch personnel, to ensure there is supporting documentation and is following regulations. These are time sensitive documents and do take priority when received.
Understands and agrees to abide by the policies and procedures established at Legend Bank.

KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
a. EDUCATION:
High school diploma or equivalent required.
c. RELATED WORK EXPERIENCE:
Accuracy is mandatory. 2 to 4 years bank experience required. Preferably personal banker/new accounts experience. Excellent customer service and verbal communication skills required.
