Construction Materials Testing Technician II

We understand the critical role that accurate data plays in the success of our clients' projects, which is why we meticulously communicate with project stakeholders, including project managers, engineering technicians, client representatives, and contractors' representatives, to ensure a thorough understanding of project requirements and to deliver precise testing, observation, and inspection results.

Position Overview:

As a Construction Materials Testing Technician II (CMT II), you will conduct construction material testing, communicate results, and ensure adherence to safety standards, while also assisting with scheduling and receiving training for increased responsibilities in construction operations.


Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Conduct field and laboratory testing of construction materials (e.g., soils, concrete, asphalt).
  • Communicate project requirements and results to stakeholders.
  • Transport material samples and documentation for further analysis.
  • Prepare and submit written and digital reports to Project Manager.
  • Assist with scheduling and dispatch.
  • Perform basic testing and observation duties under supervision.
  • Obtain ACI certification for Concrete Testing.
  • Conduct soil compaction tests using nuclear density gauges.
  • Ensure construction aligns with design drawings.
  • Discuss data accuracy with Project Manager.
  • Submit documentation and communicate results as directed.
  • Receive progressive training and increased responsibilities.
  • Maintain flexibility for early construction start times.
  • Adhere to safety rules and practices.
  • Maintain quality standards and equipment.

Job Requirements

· High School Diploma

Valid Driver’s License

· Minimum 2 years in the field

· Ability to work outside in different weather environments

· ACI Technician Level 1

· OSHA 10

· ICC + NICET would be a bonus!

· Willing to work flexible hours, outside of the standard 8am-5pm
