Description

The Deposit & Digital Operations Analyst is responsible for performing advanced operational functions, analysis, and problem resolution across deposit and digital banking services. This role supports departmental efficiency by analyzing workflows, identifying improvement opportunities, and ensuring accurate execution of operational processes. The incumbent serves as a subject matter resource for the team, supporting complex issue resolution, contributing to audit and compliance activities, and assisting with process improvements while maintaining a strong focus on risk management, accuracy, and customer service. This position operates with a high level of independence and analytical responsibility.


Operational Execution:

  • Performs advanced maintenance, reconciliation and processing functions related to deposit and digital banking services.  
  • Reviews daily, weekly, and monthly reports to identify discrepancies, exceptions, or processing issues. 
  • Resolves complex operational issues, including identifying root cause and ensuring appropriate follow-up.

Analysis & Problem Resolution:

  • Analyzes operational workflows and reporting to identify inefficiencies, trends, or risk exposures. 
  • Recommends solutions to improve processes, enhance controls, and reduce operational risk.
  • Identify trends, anomalies, and recurring issues impacting operations or customer experience. 
  • Develop and maintain reporting to track volume trends, error rates and exceptions, and processing efficiency and turnaround times.
  • Assists in evaluating enhancements to existing systems and new banking services impacting deposit and digital operations.
  • Prepare and support competitive analysis of deposit and digital products, services, and fee structures, providing insights to leadership to inform product strategy and positioning.

Systems & Application Performance Analysis:

  • Evaluate performance of department owned platforms, including system stability, usage, and functionality. 
  • Analyze system-related issues to identify root causes and recurring patterns. 
  • Assess impacts of system outages, disruptions, or defects on operations and customers.
  • Track and report on system performance trends and improvement opportunities.

Application Support & Vendor Coordination:

  • Serve as a liaison between the Bank and system vendors for departmentally owned platforms. 
  • Monitor and manage vendor communications, including system enhancements, maintenance notifications and/or issue resolution and escalations. 
  • Review and analyze vendor release notes and updates, translating impacts to operational processes, customer experience and communications, and risk and control considerations. 

LSA (Lead System Administrator) Responsibilities:

  • Perform system administration activities including user access provisioning, maintenance, and removal 
  • Support and execute periodic access reviews and ensure documentation is complete for audit purposes 
  • Maintain adherence to segregation of duties, least privilege access, and internal control requirements 
  • Track and document all administrative activities in alignment with policy 

Process Improvement, Documentation & Optimization:

  • Maintains and updates departmental procedures to ensure accuracy and compliance with current practices. 
  • Contributes to continuous improvement and change management initiatives within Bank Operations.  
  • Maintains organized documentation in shared systems in accordance with record retention requirements.
  • Serve as the Deposit and Digital Operations Subject Matter Expert (SME) on cross-functional project teams, contributing to requirements gathering, solution design, testing, and implementation of new products, services, or system enhancements.

Risk, Compliance & Audit Support:

  • Ensures adherence to Bank policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements, including BSA and OFAC compliance. 
  • Supports internal and external audits by gathering documentation, responding to requests, and tracking items through resolution.  
  • Participates in quality control reviews of reports, setups, and exception processing.

Collaboration & Support:

  • Serves as a resource to Specialists and internal stakeholders on operational processes and issue resolution.  
  • Partner with Marketing and business units to develop and deliver training, job aids, and sales support materials that educate employees and customers on deposit and digital products and services.
  • Provide guidance and training on systems, procedures, product functionality, and process updates to internal stakeholders
  • Collaborates with other departments to support effective communication and execution of operational initiatives.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • 3-5 years of banking or bank operations experience, preferably in deposit and/or digital operations.
  • Ability to interpret and apply procedures, policies, and regulatory requirements.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to review reports and identify discrepancies.
  • Strong organizational, time management, and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word and Excel; experience with Copilot is a plus.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree
  • Experience supporting audits, regulatory exams, or risk assessments
  • Experience with digital banking platforms and deposit systems, preferably Jack Henry Silverlake and Banno
  • Exposure to process improvement or change management initiatives
