Job description

Overview

This is a hybrid role, with the expectation that work time will regularly take place inside and outside of a company office. 

We are looking for candidates who live within a commutable drivable distance to our offices in Charlotte, SC, Danville, VA, Phoenix, AZ and Raleigh, NC.

The Senior Operations Specialist is responsible for post close loan administration of large syndicated cashflow participation deals, delivering multifaceted support services for our business partners.


Responsibilities & Qualifications
  • Loan servicing knowledge
    • Contact person responsible for all ongoing daily activity and reconciliation issues associated with assigned portfolio of approximately 60-80 deals
    • Monitor customer borrowings, payments, and rate setting activities
    • Contact agents regarding maturing loans for renewal or repayment
    • Process loans, deposits, commitment, and Letter of Credit facilities for cashflow deals
    • Process any amendment transactions by updating Loan IQ, calculating applicable fees, and applying any associated fees and/or cost allocations
    • Calculate quarterly and monthly fees and interest, reconciling amounts with agent banks
    • Monitor and reconcile any past due, suspense or account receivable items, notifying account manager of any true delinquencies
    • Process all trading activity on portfolio, preparing funding memos and standard bank confirmations when necessary
    • Process customer audit confirmations in a timely manner
  • Accountable to administer all loans in accordance with the terms of governing documents, relevant legislation, and company policy       
  • Support management with various inquiries and audits

Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree and 0 years of experience in Accounting or Finance OR High School Diploma or GED and 4 years of experience in Accounting or Finance.

Preferred Skills:

  • Commercial syndicated loan experience
  • Knowledge of Bank operations and regulatory or legal environments
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance related area
  • 1+ year of financial operations experience
  • Superior communications and multitasking skills, with the ability to interact with multiple individuals and Agent banks
  • Knowledge of Loan IQ
  • Intermediate Microsoft Office
