Job description

Job Summary:
Under the general supervision of the branch Retail Operations Supervisor, the Retail Operations Associate operates in a branch service provider role that provides both paying and receiving services in accordance with Bank policy and procedures. Provides service to customers regarding daily transactions, processes receipt and payment of cash, answers inquiries, opens new accounts if necessary, and refers customers for appropriate services. Responsible for development of new business relationships and maintaining existing
  • Profile, identifying high risk accounts at account opening, and reporting suspicious activities to supervisor.
  • Participates in sales, service and product training meetings.
  • Promotes and explains other financial institution services such as consumer and mortgage loans, IRAs, certificates of deposit, safe deposit boxes, etc.
  • Opens new deposit accounts for consumer and commercial customers.
  • Receives mortgage, consumer loan and other payments and ensures the payments match balances due. Enters payments into computer. Generates customer receipts.
  • Places holds on accounts for uncollected funds.
  • Counts, checks and packages coins and currency.
  • Balances cash drawer at the end of the shift and compares totaled amounts to computer generated proof sheet. Reports any discrepancies to the supervisor as necessary.
  • Responsible for checking night depository bags and recording proper information on the financial institutionโ€™s forms.

Additional Requirements (Education, Experience)
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.

  • Must be able to occasionally travel for training or other business-related matters.
