Job description

At Eastern Bank, we understand the financial concerns of small businesses. That's why we offer a variety of products and financing solutions designed specifically for business' with sales less than $10MM. Our Business Banking Group is a team of banking professionals who can deliver all the services you need quickly and conveniently.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Develop a portfolio of customers, prospects and Centres of Influence (COIs) through networking and other business development efforts.
  • Sell of bank products to new and existing customers.
  • Partner with assigned branches for cross sale opportunities and customer relationship management
  • Manage relationships externally with key Community Partners to leverage programs, tools and resources that can assist BB customers grow and make their business more profitable.
  • Source, evaluate and recommend new BB banking opportunities for loan and deposit relationships. Loan relationships will include both C&I and CRE relationships.
  • Manage a portfolio of BB clients to help minimize risk for the bank, cross sell to the book of business and create a positive customer experience.
  • Coordinate calling and relationships management activities with multiple internal business partners including commercial, investments, treasury, retail, and insurance.
  • Conduct preliminary underwriting and structure of credit requests.
  • Maintain internal Bank contact management system including full history.

Qualifications: Bachelors Degree or equivalent combination of training and related experience required.

Five-to-eight years of sales and management experience

Must have a basic understanding of commercial businesses and banking Demonstrated basic knowledge of credit with some prior credit training and sales training.

Strong communication skills (written and verbal). Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Strong sales skills in a fast paced environment.

Able to utilize full range of prospecting sales activities. Technologically proficient.

Candidate must be able to attend networking and other events outside of customary business hours Must be a self starter and able to self generate sales prospects and pipeline.
