Hours:

Monday - Friday: 8AM-5PM

(Additional hours as necessary to meet the objectives of the department)

Function: Assumes the primary responsibility for managing existing and growing commercial banking relationships.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Interviews customers and prospective customers to identify loan/deposit opportunities

    • Develops and enhances banking relationships with commercial customers by selling loan, deposit and fee products/services.

    • Collecting and analyzing financial data for proper loan structure for written/verbal presentation to loan committee.

    • Manage commercial calling program for existing customers.

    • Assists senior team members with new business development activities.

  • In conjunction with a senior team member, responsible for negotiating customer loan documentation and facilitating loan closings.

  • Carries out a variety of business development activities to identify bank prospects and develop key centers of influence.

  • Collaborates with commercial banking team and credit to prepare new loan requests, prescreens and committee presentations. Ensures compliance with existing loan policies and procedures

  • Works with product partners including Treasury Management and Private Banking to establish products/services for commercial customers.

  • Responds to various customer questions and as needed directs to appropriate party and provides follow through.

  • Collaborates with Portfolio Managers to manage existing loan portfolio. Monitors and documents performance of existing loan portfolio through call memos, site visits, financial collection/ review, including Annual Reviews and business development plans.. Monitors maturing loans and financial/covenant/documentation exceptions.

  • Manages loan payment delinquency within their portfolio

  • Maintains a good working relationship with bank employees. Demonstrates strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work independently, as well as motivated to work as a team player to contribute to the success of the department and in turn, the organization.

  • Assumes additional responsibilities as required.

Education:

Requires a four-year college degree or equivalent, major in Business or related fields.

Experience:

Five to ten years specialized experience.

Physical Demands:

Operates a keypad device: 25% of the week. Operates electronic equipment: 20% of the week; operates office equipment: 5% of the week. Travels40% of the week. Physical demands include travel by car to see customers, inspect construction sites, land developments, etc. Lenders also travel out of state to inspect projects, construction sites and meet customers. Requires the use of manual dexterity skills for typing and data entry up to 25% of the business day. Specific vision requirements include close vision of 18"-20" for computer work.
