POSITION SUMMARY:

The Operations Specialist independently performs daily deposit operations and transaction processing, with a primary focus on domestic and international wire transfers. This role ensures strict adherence to internal policies and regulatory requirements, including OFAC, Regulation J, Regulation E, and UCC Article 4A. The Operations Specialist partners with internal teams to provide clear, professional communication and consistently delivers a strong internal and external client experience. Responsibilities also include support of ATM operations, foreign check processing, electronic banking, and other core back-office functions as assigned.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Process and monitor domestic and international wire transfers in compliance with regulatory and bank policies
  • Perform foreign check collection and foreign check processing
  • Manage Regulation E claims, including provisional credits, research, adjustments, and required submissions
  • Support ACH operations, including filters and origination returns
  • Process NSF items, return items, nonposted items, and largedollar return notifications
  • Perform daily account and debit/ATM card maintenance, including interest maintenance
  • Review and process mobile and branch capture deposits
  • Support online banking maintenance and secondary review (consumer and commercial)
  • Manage debit card ordering and processing
  • Support ATM operations, including offsite ATM relationships and cash ordering
  • Perform branch and vault settlements and daily ATM entries
  • Open and maintain specialized accounts (e.g., GNMA accounts for Capital Funding and escrow accounts for bridge loans)
  • Print and process required operational and regulatory notices
  • Perform additional operational duties as assigned by management
  • QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:
  • Three to five years of relevant banking or deposit operations experience
  • Strong decisionmaking, problemsolving, and organizational skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently in a fastpaced environment
  • Strong verbal and interpersonal communication skills with internal and external clients
  • Working knowledge of bank deposit products and services
  • Experience with core banking systems and account opening platforms
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
  • WORK ENVIRONMENT: We offer a hybrid schedule, with 4 days in-office and 1 day remote after the initial 90-day period.

    COMPENSATION DISCLOSURE:

    In accordance with Maryland's Equal Pay for Equal Work Act, we are committed to providing transparent wage information for all posted job opportunities. The wage range for this position is $55,000 to $67,000 annually, plus discretionary performance-based bonus. Compensation is determined based on factors such as Experience, Qualifications, and Internal equity.
