Construction Project Manager - Banking Construction - Base Salary to 90k/year - Warren, MI

  • Our client is a commercial general contractor specializing in renovation, tenant improvement, and ground-up construction projects for financial institutions throughout the Midwest and nationwide. The company manages complex banking construction projects ranging from branch remodels to new facility construction and has built a strong reputation for delivering projects on schedule while maintaining long-term client relationships.
  • The Construction Project Manager will oversee commercial construction projects from preconstruction through closeout. This role works closely with estimating, operations, subcontractors, clients, and project stakeholders to coordinate schedules, budgets, permitting, and project execution. The position is based in Warren, Michigan, with periodic travel to project sites throughout the region and occasional out-of-state travel.

Responsibilities:

  • Review and analyze construction drawings, specifications, contracts, and project documentation
  • Coordinate with estimating and operations teams during preconstruction and project execution
  • Develop scopes of work and subcontractor bid packages
  • Coordinate permitting activities and project startup requirements
  • Plan, schedule, and manage commercial construction projects through completion
  • Evaluate project costs, change orders, revisions, and budget impacts
  • Manage subcontractor performance and project schedules
  • Coordinate project activities with clients, owners, subcontractors, and internal teams
  • Conduct site visits as needed to support project execution and client communication
  • Maintain project documentation, schedules, budgets, and reporting
  • Build and maintain long-term relationships with clients and project stakeholders

Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of experience in commercial construction project management
  • Experience working for a General Contractor
  • Experience managing commercial or retail construction projects
  • Experience reviewing and interpreting architectural and structural drawings
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret construction plans, specifications, scopes of work, and project schedules
  • Experience coordinating subcontractors, vendors, and project stakeholders
  • Experience building and maintaining client relationships throughout the construction process
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel
  • Experience using construction project management software
  • Ability to work full-time from the Warren, Michigan office, with limited remote flexibility after onboarding
  • Ability to travel to project sites, including occasional overnight travel of approximately 2โ€“3 days per month, and meet client and jobsite access requirements as necessary for assigned projects.
