Position Overview

Prairie Band Physical Therapy is seeking a full-time Physical Therapist (PT) to join our outpatient team located in Fairfax, Virginia. Key Responsibilities

As a Physical Therapist at Prairie Band Physical Therapy, you will:

  • Perform thorough evaluations of patients’ physical abilities and limitations to develop comprehensive treatment plans.
  • Utilize various therapeutic techniques including exercises, hands-on therapy, and specialized equipment to aid in patients’ recovery.
  • Track, document, and communicate progress and responses to therapy, adapting treatment plans as necessary based on the patient's evolving needs.
  • Educate patients, caregivers, and family members on therapeutic exercises and proper use of any recommended assistive devices.
  • Engage in ongoing professional development through workshops and training to ensure you are current with the latest rehabilitation techniques.
Patient Population / Client Focus

Qualifications

To qualify for this position, candidates must possess:

  • A Bachelor’s Degree in Physical Therapy or a Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT).
  • A valid Physical Therapy license in the State of Virginia.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills to convey treatment plans and progress effectively.
  • Computer proficiency to document treatment and progress in electronic health records.
  • A keen ability to remain flexible and agile in a fast-paced therapeutic environment.
Preferred Experience

Ideally, candidates will have at least 2 years of experience in outpatient physical therapy settings. While new graduates are welcome to apply, candidates with experience in community rehabilitation, home care, or specialized physical therapy techniques will be highly regarded.
