Summary:
The Philanthropy Officer advances the mission of the Foundation by cultivating, soliciting, and stewarding individual donors, with a focus on major gifts and pipeline development. This role works closely with the Director of Individual Philanthropy to achieve revenue goals and strengthen donor relationships.
Key Responsibilities
  • Portfolio Management
    • Manage a portfolio of 100-125 qualified prospects, focusing on leadership annual gifts of $1K+ and major gifts of $10K-$50K+.
    • Conduct donor visits, solicit gifts, and provide personalized stewardship.
  • Pipeline Development
    • Identify and qualify new prospects through research and referrals.
    • Collaborate with Annual Fund Manager to upgrade annual donors to major gift level.
  • Strategy & Collaboration
    • Partner with Director of Individual Philanthropy on cultivation strategies and solicitation plans.
    • Work with Data Intelligence for prospect research and analytics.
  • Reporting & Compliance
    • Maintain accurate activity records in CRM; adhere to gift acceptance policies.
    • Track progress toward individual and team KPIs.

  • Number of donor visits and solicitations.
  • Revenue generated from portfolio.
  • Pipeline growth and conversion rates.

Requirements:
Bachelor's degree required; CFRE preferred.
3+ years in fundraising or sales with demonstrated success in relationship management.
