About the Organization

Our Early Intervention Center is dedicated to supporting individuals in their journey towards recovery and empowerment. We pride ourselves on creating a collaborative and nurturing environment where both employees and residents can thrive. Currently based in Portland, Oregon, we are deeply committed to the health and wellness of our community.

Work Environment

As an Occupational Therapist at our facility, you will work onsite within a state-of-the-art Early Intervention Center. Our facility is designed to offer a warm, welcoming atmosphere that fosters healing and rehabilitation. You will collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team, including physical therapists, nursing staff, and other healthcare professionals, to create a holistic approach to patient care. We believe in maintaining an open-door policy, encouraging continuous communication and support among all team members.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough assessments of residents’ physical, cognitive, and functional abilities to identify their specific therapy needs.
  • Design and implement personalized treatment plans that focus on enhancing residents’ daily living activities, improving fine motor skills, and promoting independence.
  • Utilize adaptive techniques, therapeutic exercises, and assistive devices to facilitate safe mobility and promote recovery.
  • Provide education and resources to residents, their families, and caregivers on injury prevention, adaptive strategies, and functional mobility techniques.
  • Collaborate with fellow healthcare professionals to ensure integrated, patient-centered care that addresses all aspects of the residents’ health.
  • Maintain detailed and accurate documentation of assessments, treatment plans, and progress reports, adhering to facility policies and healthcare regulations.
Patient Population / Client Focus

In your role as an Occupational Therapist, you will primarily work with a diverse population of residents at our Early Intervention Center. These individuals may include seniors recovering from surgery or injury, individuals with chronic illnesses, and those requiring support to adapt to sudden lifestyle changes. Your expertise will be instrumental in guiding them toward achieving their personal rehabilitation goals and enhancing their ability to perform essential daily activities.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited institution.
  • Must hold a current Oregon OT license in good standing.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in occupational therapy, preferably in an assisted living, skilled nursing, or geriatric care setting.
  • Excellent communication skills with a strong focus on building relationships with residents and their families.
  • Ability to effectively collaborate within a multidisciplinary team to deliver coordinated care.
Preferred Experience

While not required, candidates with experience in rehabilitation within assisted living or similar environments are preferred. Familiarity with therapeutic modalities, assistive technologies, and adaptive equipment will enhance your effectiveness in this role. A demonstrated commitment to continuous learning and professional development is also highly valued.

Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary ranging from $80,000 to $95,000 annually, depending on experience and qualifications. In addition to salary, you will receive a comprehensive benefits package that includes health, dental, and vision insurance, retirement savings options, paid time off, and access to continuing education programs designed to support your professional growth.
