Emish Market is a Ukrainian grocery store located in Fife, WA, offering a wide selection of imported goods from Ukraine and other European countries. In addition to our market, we operate a full-service café, bakery, and meat department, preparing fresh Ukrainian dishes, pastries, breads, and specialty products daily. Our mission is to create a warm, authentic, and memorable experience for every guest.

We are currently seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Baker to join our bakery team. This role focuses on preparing high-quality baked goods for our customers and is ideal for someone who enjoys working with dough, follows recipes accurately, and takes pride in producing consistent, fresh products.

What You'll Do

  • Prepare, mix, shape, proof, and bake breads, pastries, and other baked goods according to recipes and quality standards
  • Measure and prepare ingredients accurately to ensure product consistency
  • Operate bakery equipment safely and efficiently
  • Monitor baking times, temperatures, and product quality throughout production
  • Decorate and finish bakery items as needed
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of bakery workstations and equipment
  • Follow food safety, sanitation, and hygiene standards at all times
  • Assist with inventory rotation, ingredient storage, and restocking supplies
  • Work closely with bakery and kitchen team members to ensure daily production goals are met

Work Schedule: 04:00 AM - 12:30 PM Tuesday - Saturday

Pay & Compensation: $22-$26 per hour depending on experience

Benefits:
We offer competitive employee benefits including paid sick leave (1 hour per 40 hours worked), partial employer-covered medical insurance (75% for full-time employees), and paid vacation: 1 week after 1 year of employment and 2 weeks after 2 years.

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years of experience as a baker, pastry baker, or in a commercial bakery environment
  • Ability to follow recipes and production schedules accurately
