Medical Assistant / Limited X-Ray Machine Operator (MA / LXMO)

Job Location: Bangor, ME

Work Setting: On-site urgent care clinic

Key Responsibilities:

  • Room patients and obtain vital signs, medical history, and chief complaints

  • Assist providers with exams, procedures, and treatments

  • Perform point-of-care testing (e.g., strep, flu, COVID, urinalysis)

  • Administer medications and injections as directed

  • Maintain accurate documentation in EMR systems

  • Follow infection control and OSHA standards

  • Perform diagnostic X-rays (e.g., chest, extremities)

  • Ensure proper patient positioning and radiation safety protocols

  • Operate digital radiography equipment

  • Review image quality and submit studies via PACS systems

  • Maintain compliance with state radiation safety regulations

  • Perform basic equipment checks and report issues

Requirements:

  • Current Medical Assistant certification (CMA, RMA, or equivalent preferred)

  • Active Limited X-Ray Machine Operator (LXMO) license (state-specific)

  • Current BLS/CPR certification

Preferred Qualifications:
