Job Summary
Performs diagnostic x-ray procedures on selected anatomical sites within a limited scope. Prepare patients for exams and explain procedures to them. Follow strict guidelines about usage of radiographic equipment.
Limited x-ray machine operators must have excellent communication skills in order to elicit patient data and explain radiologic procedures. Must be mentally prepared to work with critically ill patients and trustworthy enough to maintain patient privacy. Limited x-ray machine operators also must be proficient at record keeping.
Qualifications
Must meet state limited x-ray machine operator requirements for location of practice.
In South Dakota Sanford requires:
Completion and passing of the Radiology Education Online.
Maintaining certification through CEU’s. 12 credits required every 24 months, to be provided by the supervisor
Compliance with current LXMO policy.
