Location: Newark Liberty International Airport
Compensation: $19.75 per hr.

* Shifts are as needed with 2 weeks advance notice (hours may vary)

* Must be available for weekend and holiday shifts

Position Summary:

As a Charter Screener, you'll be responsible for ensuring the safety and security of air travelers by screening passengers, baggage, and aircraft to prevent prohibited items from being transported. This is an on-call position, ideal for individuals with flexibility and a strong commitment to security and service.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct passenger and baggage screening in compliance with TSA regulations.

What We’re Looking For:
  • Must be 18 years or older

  • High school diploma or GED

  • U.S. citizen

  • Reliable transportation and telephone access

  • Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English

  • Able to pass DOT drug and alcohol testing and random screenings

  • Physically able to stand for extended periods and lift 50+ lbs

  • Willing to work both indoors and outdoors, sometimes in varying weather conditions

  • Must maintain a neat, professional appearance—no facial piercings or visible tattoos (below the wrist or above the neck)

  • Must own a cell phone and have an active email account

  • Willing to work overtime if required

  • Completion of all required Huntleigh and airline-specific training

  • Hold a valid, unexpired NJ State Police SORA license

  • Provide a valid driver’s license and a 5-year driving abstract
