We are seeking reliable, motivated individuals who are ready to work in a fast-paced airport environment and play a critical role in ensuring baggage is handled safely and efficiently. Qualified candidates with open availability, including weekends, are strongly encouraged to apply. Position Summary The Baggage Handler is responsible for supporting Huntleigh USA's commitment to providing exceptional service by safely and efficiently handling passenger baggage throughout the airport. This role is essential to maintaining smooth airport operations and delivering a positive passenger experience. Shift Information Shift: 1:30 p.m. - 9:30 p.m. or until final flight departure End time will vary based on aircraft departure times Open availability is required, including weekends Key Responsibilities
  • Safely lift, load, unload, and transport passenger luggage
  • Assist with baggage at ticket counters, conveyor belts, and baggage claim areas
  • Coordinate with airline personnel regarding assignments and updates
  • Provide general airport information and customer service to passengers
  • Follow all airline and airport procedures, including during irregular operations
  • Complete incident reports as needed
  • Transport luggage using carts between designated areas
  • Maintain compliance with all safety, uniform, and operational standards
  • Perform additional duties as assigned
What We're Looking For
  • High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Previous experience in baggage handling, customer service, or airport operations is a plus
  • Strong communication skills and professional demeanor
  • Ability to follow verbal and written instructions in English
  • Must pass pre-employment and random drug and alcohol screenings (DOT or Non-DOT as required)
  • Reliable transportation
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to lift, push, or pull up to 75 pounds
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, and move for extended periods
  • Comfortable working indoors and outdoors in various weather conditions
