Job Summary
ATG is seeking a Database Administrator to support the Naval Surface Warfare Center Dahlgren Division (NSWCDD)The selected candidate will administer, maintain, secure, and optimize enterprise database environments while ensuring data integrity, system availability, performance, backup, recovery, and compliance with Department of the Navy and DoD requirements.
Key Responsibilities
  • Install, configure, administer, and maintain enterprise database management systems.
  • Monitor database performance and optimize queries, indexes, and storage utilization.
  • Perform database backup, recovery, disaster recovery, and replication activities.
  • Implement database security, access controls, auditing, and encryption.
  • Support database upgrades, migrations, and patch management.
  • Develop and maintain database documentation, procedures, and configuration records.
  • Troubleshoot database issues and provide technical support to application teams.
  • Ensure compliance with RMF, STIGs, and Department of Defense cybersecurity requirements.
Qualifications
Required:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
  • Minimum four (4) years of professional experience in computer design, software development, computer networks, or database administration.
  • Current DoD 8570/8140 IAT Level II certification.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Tier 3 investigation.
  • Experience with Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle, or other enterprise database platforms.
  • Knowledge of database backup, recovery, performance tuning, and security.
  • U.S. Citizenship.
Desired:
  • Oracle or Microsoft SQL Server certification.
  • Experience supporting NAVSEA or Department of the Navy.
  • Experience with PowerShell, scripting, and database automation.
