Job Summary:

Are you hands-on, mechanically inclined, and take pride in precise craftsmanship? We are seeking an Oil Tank Removal and Installation Technician who is comfortable with physical labor and has exceptional tool-handling skills.

In this role, you will be responsible for the safe dismantling, removal, and installation of heating oil tanks. We value neatness, accuracy, and efficiency. If you have a strong work ethic, a background in trade/mechanical work, and love seeing a job done right, we want to hear from you!

Core Responsibilities:

  • Tank Removal & Prep: Safely drain, clean, cut, and remove old residential and commercial oil tanks.
  • Installation & Pipework: Install new oil tanks, executing precise pipe fitting, copper flaring, and drilling.
  • Tool Operations: Confidently and safely operate a variety of power and hand tools, including sawsalls (reciprocating saws), nibblers, drills, and hammer drills.
  • Heavy Lifting & Demolition: Manually move and maneuver heavy equipment and tank materials through various site conditions.
  • Site Safety & Cleanliness: Maintain a clean, organized work area on the job site and inside the service truck. Complete work neatly to protect client property.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Tool Mastery: Proven experience with power tools and mechanical hand tools. We are looking for high accuracy and neat workmanship.
  • Physical Stamina: Ability to handle consistent heavy lifting, moving, bending, and strenuous physical labor in various weather conditions.
  • Background: Previous experience in oil tank services, HVAC, plumbing, or pipe fitting is highly preferred.
  • Automotive Experience a Plus: A background in automotive repair/mechanics is highly helpful and a major asset to this role.
  • Language: English fluency is required; bilingual in Spanish is a major plus (but not required).

Requirements:

  • Must possess a valid Driver’s License with a clean, insurable driving record.
  • Must have your own reliable source of transportation to get to work/the shop daily.
  • Must be reliable, punctual, and possess a strong team-player attitude.
