Job Description:

This position requires a skilled and experienced professional to support University of Toledo plumbing systems for the use of students, faculty, staff, and visitors.
Primary work assignments will include maintenance, testing, and repair of backflow prevention assemblies. In addition, this position may be responsible to conduct permitted plumbing work and construction activities requiring a State Plumbing Contractor License.
Additional work will include maintenance, repair, and installation of pipes, valves, fixtures, pumps, and various equipment Integral to the University of Toledo building systems.

Minimum Qualifications:

Education/experience/licensing:
Must possess a High School diploma or equivalent GED.
Department of Labor or equivalent journeyman Plumber certificate or associate degree or technical school certificate and five (5) or more years related experience.
Current State of Ohio backflow certification
Current State Plumbing Contractor License
Communication and other skills:
Must be able to read and understand plumbing blueprints.
Must be able to properly and safely operate tools and equipment related to the plumbing trade.
Must have the ability to, as well as meet, the requirements to complete and maintain mandatory training per the university mandatory training policy pursuant to the deadlines set forth therein.
