Job description

American Traveler is hiring an Outpatient Cardiology RN for an ambulatory EP clinic, requiring at least 1 year of RN experience and preferring EP and device management background.
Job Details
• Ambulatory Cardiology Office setting supporting the EP Device Division,
• Adult cardiac patients only, handling consults and follow-up visits,
• Day shift schedule, 5x8-hour shifts from 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM,
• No weekend requirements,
• No on-call requirements,
• No floating between like units required,
• Uses MURJ for remote reports and alerts,
• Supports back office Medical Assistant team with higher-level patient advice requests,
• Triages urgent patient symptoms and supervises stress tests,
• Charts in Epic,
Job Requirements
• Active CA RN license required, in hand within 2 weeks of applying,
• BLS certification required,
• Minimum of 1 year of RN experience required,
• Epic charting experience required,
• Cardiology experience required,
• Experience with EP Lab work setting preferred,
• Experience with device management preferred,
• Skills in Activated Clotting Time (ACT), cardioversion, IV therapy, and administering cardiac medications (antiarrhythmics, antihypertensives, dobutamine, emergency medications) required,
• Radiation and laser safety experience preferred,
• 2 supervisory references covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years required,
• Full SSN and DOB required for consideration,
Additional Information
• Provide clinical support for EP device patients including triage and higher-level patient advice,
• Supervise stress testing procedures,
• Collaborate closely with back office Medical Assistant team,
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply,
• Local candidates accepted but not required,
• Candidates residing within 50 miles are considered local and may be offered a lower bill rate,
• Former permanent staff may return as travelers after a 3-month waiting period, provided they reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility,
• Must commit to working 3 of the 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day),
• All RTO and specific scheduling requests must be submitted upfront prior to offer, as post-offer requests may not be accommodated
