Job Title: High School Mathematics Teacher (Dual Credit Preferred)

Position Overview:
North Harrison High School is seeking a highly qualified and student-centered Mathematics Teacher to join our high school faculty. The ideal candidate will possess strong content knowledge across secondary mathematics, with a preference for individuals who hold (or are eligible for) dual credit certification and can teach Calculus. This position offers the opportunity to work with motivated students in both traditional and advanced coursework, including college-level classes.
Key Responsibilities:
Teach a range of high school mathematics courses, including Pre-Calculus, and Calculus
Deliver dual credit courses in partnership with a postsecondary institution (if qualified)
Develop and implement engaging, standards-aligned lesson plans
Use data-driven instructional practices to monitor and support student growth
Differentiate instruction to meet the needs of diverse learners
Maintain a positive and structured classroom environment
Collaborate with colleagues on curriculum development and vertical alignment
Communicate effectively with students, parents, and staff
Participate in school and district professional development opportunities
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Mathematics Education, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred)
Valid Indiana teaching license or eligibility for licensure
Dual credit certification or willingness/ability to obtain certification
Demonstrated ability to teach or willingness to teach Calculus
Strong instructional, organizational, and communication skills
Commitment to fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience teaching advanced mathematics courses, including Calculus
Prior experience with dual credit or Advanced Placement coursework
Familiarity with instructional technology and data analysis tools
