Director of Accounting, North America | Wilmington, DE
LaSalle Network is hiring a Director of Accounting, North America for a global manufacturing organization undergoing an exciting period of business transformation. This Director-level accounting leadership opportunity offers the chance to strengthen financial operations across North America while partnering with executive leadership, shared services and outsourced accounting teams. Based in Wilmington, DE, the Director of Accounting, North America will drive financial reporting excellence, improve month-end close processes and help build scalable accounting operations that support long-term business growth.
Director of Accounting, North America Responsibilities
  • Lead monthly, quarterly and annual financial reporting in accordance with IFRS
  • Oversee month-end and year-end close activities, ensuring accurate and timely reporting
  • Partner with internal and external auditors to support audit readiness and compliance
  • Coordinate with Tax leadership and the Financial Controller on accounting matters
  • Improve accounting processes, reconciliations and internal controls across shared services and outsourced accounting partners
  • Provide technical accounting guidance and ensure proper accounting treatment for financial transactions
  • Analyze financial results and communicate insights to business leadership
  • Influence cross-functional teams to drive process improvements and operational excellence
  • Support the continued optimization of financial reporting within SAP and Blackline

Director of Accounting, North America Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
  • CPA strongly preferred
  • 8-12 years of progressive accounting or finance leadership experience
  • Strong technical accounting knowledge with IFRS expertise (US GAAP a plus)
  • Manufacturing or complex operational environment experience preferred
  • Experience partnering with shared services or outsourced accounting organizations
