Job Overview
The Bachelor's Intern will support daily program operations by assisting staff with administrative tasks, participant services, community outreach activities, and special projects. This role provides hands-on experience in program administration, event coordination, and community engagement while helping ensure efficient delivery of services and resources to program participants.

As an integrated health organization Acenda values the use of evidence-based practice or EBP's.

Acenda's Family Success Centers (FSC) are warm, welcoming neighborhood gathering spaces where families and community members come together for support, connection, and growth. FSC's offer interactive workshops, family-friendly activities, and groups, as well as volunteer opportunities. All services are free and open to all. Additionally, the FSC's offer free computer use, printing, and copying services.

Key Responsibilities:

Under the supervision of the Program Director the Bachelors Intern will:

  • Assist staff with daily program operations, administrative tasks, and community outreach efforts.
  • Assist with data entry, filing, answering phones, preparing program materials, maintaining participant records, supporting event planning and setup, distributing resources.
  • Assist with workshops and community events.
  • Provide general office support while helping ensure programs and services run efficiently.

Requirements:

  • Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a college or university program.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint).
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information professionally.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Reliable, professional, and punctual.
  • Interest in community services, social work, human services, education, public health, or a related field.
  • Ability to assist with events, outreach activities, and general administrative tasks.
  • Must be able to pass any required background checks and complete onboarding requirements.
