JOB DESCRIPTION

Full time residential professor in the Computing & Mathematics department.

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Teach a variety of courses in the Computing & Mathematics department
  • Maintain current and develop new curriculum
  • Advise and mentor students academically and professionally, including guiding student projects and portfolios
  • Engage in scholarly activity such as research, creative projects, or industry collaboration
  • Participate in departmental and university committees and activities, including curriculum assessment
  • Integrate Spirit-empowered Christian worldview into teaching and mentoring, consistent with ORU's mission
  • Assist with recruitment and retention efforts for the department, including representing the program at events
  • Maintain professional development by staying current with industry trends, tools, and practices in game development
  • Support interdisciplinary collaboration with other departments
  • Contribute to the department's social media and promotional efforts, showcasing student work and program highlights.
REQUIREMENTS
  • Masters (PhD preferred) in Computer Science, Computer Information Technology, or a closely related discipline.
  • Exceptional candidates with demonstrated expertise in areas such as Game Design and Development or Cybersecurity may be considered based on substantial and relevant industry experience in lieu of an advanced degree.
