Job description

Have you completed two or more years of college and are looking to finish your bachelorโ€™s degree? Zurichโ€™s Complete-a-Bachelorโ€™s Apprenticeship offers a unique opportunity to complete your education while launching a career in commercial insuranceโ€”with no tuition costs.

Now accepting applications for the January 2027 cohort, this two-year program combines online coursework through the University of Arizona Global Campus (UAGC), with hands-on experience and professional development at Zurichโ€™s Anoka, MN office. There is an additional and separate process of applying for admission to UAGC.

Ideal for those with an associate degree or rising juniors from accredited U.S. colleges, the program allows you to earn your degree while gaining valuable industry experience with a global insurance leader.

Zurich is currently seeking a Data Analytics Bachelorโ€™s Apprentice to work out of our Anoka, MN office.

 Come join us in the Crop Analytics Group and try out your skills in data analytics! This is an excellent opportunity to gain insight into a professional environment and the organizationโ€™s risk management practices, with exposure to leadership across different levels. This team genuinely cares about growing your professional insights and talents to better prepare you for a solid career!

As an apprentice, you will work under immediate supervision, collaborating with seasoned professionals and participating in a structured program with an assigned mentor.

Key aspects of this apprenticeship include:

  • Exposure to common data and information sources
  • Understanding the effectiveness of various data pulls
  • Learning to pull and analyze data from diverse sources
  • Performing duties which are of a mathematical and/or financial nature

Additional development opportunities include:

  • Acquiring knowledge of various reporting metrics, their meanings, and pulling techniques
  • Gaining hands-on experience with Power BI, SAS, SQL
  • Shadowing various departments to deepen understanding of RCIS and the crop insurance industry
  • Engaging with various team members to accomplish their work and duties, fostering a collaborative understanding of team dynamics.

This apprenticeship offers a comprehensive learning experience, allowing employees to develop practical skills and insights into the data analytics and risk management field. Upon successful interview you will be contacted to start your application to UAGC. 

Basic Qualifications: 

  • Associate Degree in Business or related field or rising Junior with two years of coursework in Business or related field and no prior years of experience in the insurance area. Contingent on admittance into University of Arizona Global Campus Bachelor of Business Administration program.
  • Be legally eligible to work in the U.S indefinitely   

 Preferred Qualifications: 

  • Interested in pursuing a bachelorโ€™s degree Data Analytics, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Finance, or related field
  • Minimum cumulative current grade point average of 3.0 (current could mean last semester GPA) 
  • Experience with Power BI, Python, SAS, Visual Basic
  • Intermediate Microsoft Office 
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills 
  • Problem-solving skills in a customer-focused environment 
  • Quick Learner
  • Experience in a leadership role 
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently
  • Strong interest in the insurance industry

Your pay at Zurich is based on your role, location, skills, and experience. We follow local laws to ensure fair compensation. You may also be eligible for bonuses and merit increases. If your expectations are above the listed range, we still encourage you to applyโ€”your unique background matters to us.

The pay range shown is a national average and may vary by location. The proposed Hourly range for this position is $23.32-$24.04, with short-term incentive bonus eligibility set at 5%.
