Assistant/Associate Professor - Business Administration
Expected Start: Fall 2027
Midway University invites applicants for a fulltime Assistant/Associate Professor of Business Administration in the School of Business, Equine and Sport Studies.
The School of Business, Equine and Sport Studies at Midway University has experienced rapid growth over the last 8 years. The Bachelor's in Business Administration is the largest undergraduate program and the MBA is our largest graduate degree. The successful candidate will join a team of 17 fulltime faculty. At the undergraduate level, we offer minors or concentrations in the areas of leadership, human resource management, finance, entrepreneurship, marketing and bourbon studies.
Midway University is a non-tenure granting institution but has a structured path for rank advancement based on teaching, scholarship and service.
Duties: The successful candidate will develop and teach courses the University's MBA program and undergraduate business programs. Courses will be taught both in face-to-face and online formats. Teaching will primarily be at the graduate level with some undergraduate teaching opportunities. The candidate must be able to communicate effectively and work cooperatively with colleagues. All faculty are expected to advise students, serve on committees, be engaged in campus life, and maintain currency in the field. Research in the field is encouraged, but not required.
Minimum Qualifications: Doctorate in Management or Doctorate in Business Administration with preference given to expertise in entrepreneurship or finance.. ABD candidates will also be considered.
