Duties typically include supervising playtime, preparing meals or snacks, helping with homework, and ensuring the safety and well-being of the children. Babysitters may work occasional evenings, weekends, or during school holidays, either in the family's home or elsewhere. The job requires responsibility, patience, and good communication skills with both children and parents. Some families may also ask babysitters to perform light housekeeping or pet care related to the children.
