Spectra Tech, Inc. is hiring for a Civil-Structural Analyst in Aiken, South Carolina. DEUTIES

Perform advanced structural analyses of various structures to validate their design adequacy for normal operation and accident loading conditions.

Advanced structural analytical capabilities include the ability to perform the following:

  • Seismic Soil-Structure Interaction (SSI)
  • Dynamic seismic analysis (response spectra and time-history)
  • Development of in-structure seismic response spectra
  • Evaluate structural responses for:
    • Tornado winds
    • Missile penetration
    • Precipitation (rain, flood, snow)
    • Explosion (blast/detonation and deflagration)

Engineering services will be provided using SRR processes and procedures. Programmatic guidance will be provided by SRR.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS Education
  • MS Degree in Civil/Structural Engineering

or

  • BS Degree in Civil/Structural Engineering and current registration as a Professional Engineer in either Civil or Structural Engineering.
Experience /Skills
  • Candidate must demonstrate a minimum of eight (8) years' experience in the design and analysis of nuclear or industrial facilities.
  • Candidate must demonstrate a working knowledge of:
    • STAAD
    • ANSYS
    • ABAQUS
    • SASSI
    • DYNA3D
    • or similar computer codes.
  • Candidate must demonstrate a sound working knowledge of National Codes and Standards such as:
    • IBC
    • AISC (ASD, LRFD, & N690)
    • ASCE
    • ACI (318 & 349)
  • Candidate must have the ability to perform field walk-downs of structural systems.
Work Hours

A 40 hour work week is scheduled. SRS utilizes various work schedules; including:

  • 5/8s (8 hours/day; five days per week)
  • 4/l0s (10 hours/day; four days per week)
  • 9/80s (9 hours/day, fives days on week A and 4 days on week B)
