Responsibilities

  • Ensure all safety practices are followed by field personal.
  • Ensure all in-house employees and sub-contractors understand job specifications and customer expectations and all work completed accordingly.
  • Develop, coordinate, and assign daily/weekly work activities to ensure progress and completion of work.
  • Monitor fielding quality and compliance in-line with job specifications.
  • Maintain customer satisfaction by attending meetings and providing regular updates as required.
  • Oversee and maintain all fielding and permitting requirements.
  • Attend scheduled conference calls to ensure all quality issues are notated and addressed, escalating issues if necessary to appropriate staff.
  • Meet regularly with key personnel to ensure that information flows in both directions and that stated goals and objectives are met.
  • Oversee corrective action(s), as assigned, on any project or personnel issues in order to meet cost targets, completion schedules, and customer satisfaction.
  • Responsible for hiring subcontract and in-house employees as required.
  • Conduct performance reviews for direct reports. Create an environment and goals for employees to be continually challenged.
  • Coach, develop, train, and manage direct reports; approve and submit timesheets weekly.
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
  • Creates and promotes the company image through exercising sound and ethical business practices as related to employees, the public and customers. This includes ensuring that service and quality provided to customers is satisfactory.

Qualifications

  • Higher education in Engineering, Business Administration, and/or relevant field preferred. High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Strongly preferred to required include:
    • 3+ years of prior field supervision/project management.
    • Experience reviewing underground and aerial utility drawings.
    • Understand CATV / Utility construction methods and engineering practices.
    • Understand CATV drafting and design process and procedures and interact effectively with program and project managers.
  • Ability to build a team and positively influence others by collaborating, communicating, and listen to understand people and circumstances common in the work place.
  • Ability to interact and communicate effectively and professionally with colleagues, vendors and customers/clients.
  • Must have tactical, strategic problem solving, analytical, and critical thinking skills.
  • Must have excellent communication, interpersonal and organizational skills.
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Excel & have working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Access and Outlook.
  • Must be able to take direction and work independently.
  • Willingness to learn; adapt and accept increased responsibility.
