Senior Network Administrator

Your Moneris Career - The Opportunity

The Senior Network Administrator will play a key role in designing, implementing, securing, and supporting enterprise network infrastructure across data centers, LAN, WAN, IoT, wireless, cloud, and edge environments. This position is responsible for ensuring highly available, resilient, and secure network services while providing senior-level technical expertise in a highly regulated payments environment.

You will have the opportunity to work across network security, cloud connectivity, automation, and infrastructure modernization initiatives that directly support critical business operations. This role offers broad ownership of enterprise networking technologies, including firewalls, load balancing, cloud networking, SD-WAN, and automation tooling, while partnering closely with Information Security, Infrastructure, Cloud, and Application teams. As a senior technical contributor, you'll help shape network strategy, lead complex projects, mentor team members, and play a key role in maintaining secure, scalable, and compliant network services.

Additional Role Details

Location: You will be based in our Toronto office, balancing in-office collaboration with remote flexibility.

Reporting Relationship: You will report to the Manager of Network Infrastructure

Posting Type: New Position

Salary Range: The expected base salary range for this role is $106,000 - $135,000.

Total compensation may also include variable or discretionary incentive components, including but not limited to bonuses and commissions. Individual job offers are determined by various factors, including experience, education, skills, certifications, and other business needs.

  • Implement and manage enterprise firewall platforms, including rule governance and recertification.

  • Maintain network security controls, segmentation, IDS/IPS technologies, and compliance requirements.

  • Design, implement, and support enterprise LAN, WAN, routing, switching, and wireless infrastructure.

  • Administer load balancing solutions, DNS, DHCP, and IP Address Management (IPAM) services.

  • Manage SD-WAN, VPN, IPsec, and secure third-party connectivity solutions.

  • Implement and support cloud and edge networking services across Azure, AWS, and Cloudflare environments.

  • Develop and maintain network automation using Ansible, Python, and Terraform.

  • Lead infrastructure projects, provide technical mentorship, and support operational excellence initiatives.

Required qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience.

  • 7+ years of experience supporting enterprise network infrastructure.

  • Hands-on experience with Palo Alto Networks, Cisco, Arista, Check Point, F5 load balancers, Cloudflare, and DDI platforms.

  • Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, routing, switching, OSPF, BGP, and VPN technologies.

  • Experience supporting network operations in regulated environments such as PCI DSS.

  • Demonstrated expertise troubleshooting complex network and security issues.

Preferred qualifications

  • Experience with Azure and/or AWS networking services.

  • Knowledge of SD-WAN, network automation, AI-driven operations, and scripting languages.

  • Familiarity with ITSM processes and platforms such as ServiceNow.

  • Industry certifications including CCNP, CCIE, PCNSE, NSE, or equivalent.
