Senior Systems Engineer Details
Essential Job Duties:
  • Overseeing the design, development and implementation of enterprise software systems, applications, and related infrastructure components.
  • Ensures uptime, performance, resources, and security of systems and related infrastructure components meet the needs of users.
  • Installs and upgrades components and software, provides routine automation and offers improvement options for consideration, maintains security policies, troubleshoots, and offers technical support for projects.
  • Managing enterprise Microsoft Active Directory engineering standards for multi-site organization, including operating system and authentication protocols.
  • Provide 3rd level support for an enterprise-wide Microsoft windows distributed server platform, including related technologies.
  • Building and managing servers and components running various enterprise and infrastructure systems.
  • Monitoring and analyzing system logs, identifying potential issues with systems, and presenting possible solutions.
  • Applying system updates, patches, and configuration changes in a proactive manner.
  • Answering technical queries and assisting users upon issue escalation.
  • Documenting the configuration of the system, processes, and procedures.
  • Troubleshooting any reported problems and implementing improvements to eliminate future issues.
  • Ensuring parity between development, test, and production environments.
  • Working with other infrastructure staff to ensure IT infrastructure is up and running.
  • Develop technical partnerships with key support and operation teams.
  • May be on-call.
  • Other job-related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
  • College graduate - BS in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent field required.
  • Experience with medium to large network system project planning.
  • Strong knowledge of LDAP and Kerberos.
  • Extensive experience architecting and managing Active Directory.
  • Expert knowledge in creating, administering, and troubleshooting Group Policies (GPOs).
  • Experience with Azure Active Directory and Azure AD Connect as it relates to Office 365 and Azure.
  • Experience with Azure Active Directory SSO and modern authentication products such as SAML and OAuth.
  • Experience implementing and managing MFA solutions and associated processes.
  • Proven to be detail oriented, with ability and willingness to work well under tight deadlines and within a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience with network infrastructures and network security.
  • Team player, with ability to collaborate and communicate effectively with members of other IT disciplines.
  • Willingness to work additional or after-hours as needed to meet deadlines required to support network and equipment maintenance, upgrades, and service interruptions.
  • Self-motivated, self-directed, and self-learner.
  • Must have analytical skills and ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously.
