Front-End Developer (React & Angular)

Location: Toronto, Ontario (Hybrid) | Practice Area: Technology & Engineering | Type: Contract (3 Months with Potential Extension), Remote

The Role

Capco is seeking a Front-End Developer with strong React and Angular expertise to support a major financial services client on a high-profile digital transformation initiative. This contract opportunity is ideal for a developer who enjoys building modern, scalable user interfaces and is excited by the growing impact of artificial intelligence within enterprise applications.

Working closely with product owners, UX designers, architects, and engineering teams, you will contribute to the development of intuitive, secure, and high-performing web applications while exploring opportunities to integrate AI-powered capabilities into user experiences.

What You'll Do

  • Design, develop, and maintain responsive web applications using React, Angular, TypeScript, HTML, and CSS
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality user experiences aligned with business and technical requirements
  • Integrate AI-enabled features, services, or APIs into front-end applications to enhance functionality and user engagement
  • Optimize application performance, accessibility, scalability, and maintainability across enterprise platforms
  • Participate in code reviews, testing, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement activities throughout the development lifecycle

What We're Looking For

  • 7+ years of front-end development experience with strong hands-on expertise in React and Angular
  • Proficiency with JavaScript, TypeScript, HTML5, CSS3, REST APIs, and modern front-end development practices
  • Experience developing and consuming AI-powered services, generative AI tools, machine learning APIs, or intelligent automation solutions
  • Familiarity with Agile delivery methodologies and modern DevOps practices
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary teams

Bonus Points For

  • Experience with Azure OpenAI, OpenAI APIs, Microsoft Copilot, AWS AI services, or similar AI platforms
  • Knowledge of cloud-native application development within AWS, Azure, or GCP environments
  • Experience with state management frameworks such as Redux, NgRx, or equivalent technologies
  • Familiarity with automated testing frameworks including Jest, Cypress, Playwright, or Selenium
