Job description

Job Summary:
Targa Resources is a company focused on energy and commodity trading, and they are seeking a RightAngle Systems Support Analyst to support, enhance, and optimize their ETRM applications. The role involves providing application support, gathering business requirements for enhancements, and ensuring the stability of trading and risk systems.
Responsibilities:
• Provide day-to-day production support for ETRM system and integrations, troubleshooting complex functional and technical issues.
• Diagnose root causes across application layers, integrations, interfaces, and data flows, drive timely resolution.
• Support end users across front, middle, and back-office functions, ensuring smooth trading and risk operations.
• Maintain strong understanding of trading workflows, including trade capture, scheduling, confirmations, settlements, and risk reporting.
• Gather, analyze, and document business requirements for enhancements, configuration changes, and new functionalities.
• Partner with development teams and technical architects to design and test system enhancements and customizations.
• Perform functional testing, regression testing, integration testing, and assist with user acceptance testing (UAT).
• Participate in release management, change management, and deployment activities following IT governance frameworks.
• Support ETL processes, interfaces, and integration touchpoints with upstream and downstream systems.
• Ensure solutions are scalable, maintainable, and aligned with business strategy and regulatory requirements.
• Perform data analysis using SQL to identify root causes and validate changes.
• Responsible for custom development efforts and major enhancements.
• Team with the Technical Architect to produce a technical specification for custom development and systems integration requirements.
• Works with end users to validate requirements; captures relevant data and reporting requirements.
• Work with business users to gather requirements for system improvements or configuration adjustments.
• Document configuration changes, workflows, business rules, and support procedures.
• Follow ITIL-aligned incident, problem, and change management processes.
• Participate in release planning and coordinate UAT with business teams.
• Monitor and support interfaces between RightAngle and downstream systems (e.g., risk reporting, financial systems, data warehouses).
• Review interface logs and resolve issues with ETL tools such as SSIS, BizTalk, or similar.
• Ensure accuracy of inbound/outbound data including deals, prices, inventory movements, and settlements.
• Support business users during month-end close, trading close, and inventory reconciliation.
• Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Required:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, MIS, Engineering, and/or equivalent work experience in a related field
• 3+ years of experience with ETRM system such as Right Angle.
• 4+ years of experience developing within the .NET framework
• 4+ years of experience with Oracle or SQL Server including stored procedures, triggers and scripts
• Demonstrated expertise in and comfortable using multiple technologies such as VB.NET, C#, ASP.NET, MVC, WCF, HTML, XML, JSON, PHP, JavaScript and SQL.
• Experience with extract, transform, load (ETL) tools or utilities (Data Integrator, SSIS, Biztalk)
• Experience with web servers, web services, portals and reporting tools such as SQL reporting services
• Proficient in testing methods and tools; win/load runner, TFS and/or Azure Devops
• Proficient in Waterfall and Agile development methodologies
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Familiarity with ITIL concepts and the ability to follow problem, change, and incident management processes and procedures
• Experience providing technical solutions to non-technical individuals
• Demonstrated team building skills
• Ability to interact with internal employees and external business contacts while conveying a positive, service-oriented attitude
• Willingness to travel to company locations (up to 5%)
• Regular and reliable attendance.
Preferred:
• Experience with Rightangle S21 or greater version builds is preferred.
