Job Summary:
CIYIS is seeking an Azure Solution Architect to join their dynamic team. This role involves assessing, designing, building, and deploying SaaS solutions within a private Microsoft Azure environment, while providing technical leadership and ensuring the security and performance of Azure-based systems.
Responsibilities:
• Participate as a solution architect in the project team and provide agile software delivery, best-practice expertise to deliver results for an organization.
• Lead the strategic planning and technology roadmaps for a major federal agency.
• Design and implement scalable, secure, and robust Azure cloud solutions.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical solutions that align with our strategic goals.
• Ensure the security, reliability, and performance of Azure-based systems.
• Provide technical leadership and guidance throughout the project lifecycle.
• Stay abreast of the latest Azure features and best practices in cloud architecture.
• Ability to perform market research and make specific recommendations including a SWOT Analysis (Strength, Weakness, Opportunity, Threat)
• Provide deployment information technology planning and implementation support.
• Assist in developing project roadmaps for iterative implementations and functional expansion in phases leveraging agile/lean methodologies.
• Ensure successful analysis, design, evaluation, modification, testing, and implementation of agile software development solutions across the enterprise.
• Work closely with the Project Manager to develop detailed plans and assist with business process changes, problem resolution, and functional decisions.
• Guide functional & technical customer teams in brainstorming and gap-analysis sessions in the effort to guide modernization efforts in accordance with the organization's long term strategy.
• Proactively anticipate potential roadblocks and take corrective action to keep the project on track while escalating issues to project management as needed.
Qualifications:
Required:
• Experience assessing, designing, deploying, and/or sustaining various industry best of breed financial management SaaS applications and/or ERPs.
• Extensive experience in designing and implementing Azure solutions, including infrastructure, networking, and security.
• Strong knowledge of Azure services, such as Virtual Machines, Azure Active Directory, Azure App Service, Azure Storage, and Azure Functions.
• Significant experience in systems analysis and solution development of IT solutions to meet government business requirements.
• Experience with Azure administration, Azure development, and DevOps processes.
• Familiarity with governance, data platforms, disaster recovery, and IT operations.
• Proficiency in scripting and automation using PowerShell, Azure CLI, or ARM templates.
• Experience with cloud migration projects and/or hybrid cloud / on-premises environments with SAP S/4 HANA.
• Understanding of cloud security best practices and compliance frameworks.
• Knowledge of DevOps practices and experience with tools like Azure DevOps or GitHub.
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
• Significant experience defining, translating and/or mapping business requirements to technical requirements.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
• 4 Year degree in computer sciences, Information Technology, or equivalent experience.
Preferred:
• Azure certifications, such as Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert, are a plus.
• Experience managing technology strategies (preferred PMP or equivalent project management experience).
