Job description

Azure Cloud Engineer

Location: Kansas City, MO (Onsite)

Position Type: Multiyear Contract

Security Clearance: [ship with Public trust / Secret / Top Secret -- Required]

Responsibilities:

We are looking for Azure Cloud Engineers with experience integrating data from internal and external sources, building and maintaining scalable pipelines, and supporting data products. The work includes writing complex queries, transforming raw data, optimizing data flows, and performing root cause analysis. These roles own and support the data pipelines.

Requirements:

  • 3+ years working with Azure cloud native technologies
  • 2+ years developing ETL pipelines using Azure Data Factory, Event Hubs, Event Grid, Azure Functions
  • 2+ years building data engineering pipelines with Databricks or Spark
  • 1+ year using CosmosDB, AzureSQL, Redis, Synapse
  • 1+ year with orchestration tools such as Airflow or Oozie
  • Strong programming background in Python or Java
  • Strong SQL skills
  • Experience in Agile teams
  • Experience with streaming and batch solutions
  • Experience with CSV, JSON, XML, and complex structures
  • Familiarity with CI/CD, security, coding standards, and the SDLC
