Job description

Job Summary:
CACI is seeking an experienced Azure IaaS Engineer to join their team focused on transitioning government customers to the Microsoft Azure platform. The role involves operational support, service delivery, and troubleshooting complex incidents while ensuring the performance and availability of managed services.
Responsibilities:
• Responsible for the assessment, engineering, implementation, and modernization of systems (Windows and Azure) for a distributed enterprise network environment.
• Validate system requirements and provide recommendations to enable transition from the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) network to an agency owned and managed network.
• Assist the Project Manager with developing presentations and reports; prepare and present plans and changes to Technical Review Board.
• Contribute to documentation in the Knowledge Base, Standard Operating Procedures (SOP), work instructions, and job aids.
• Assist with risk management to minimize project risks.
• Leads meetings with customers and partners to understand business needs.
• Participates in project planning and develops project documents by identifying the risks and dependencies.
• Implements Azure infrastructure solutions and may provide oversight and leadership on workstreams across domains.
• Manages escalations, analyzes situations, and coordinates appropriate resources to resolve issues by following delivery practices, considering cost implications, and engaging in conversations with internal and external stakeholders.
• Will require deployment of IaaS resources via infrastructure as code specifically Terraform.
Qualifications:
Required:
• Ability to obtain Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Entry On Duty (EOD) - Active EOD preferred.
• BA/BS + 8 years of applicable experience.
• 5 or more years of relevant Microsoft Azure IaaS engineering and support.
• ITIL Foundation certification (not required to start but expected to attain in first six months).
• Expert knowledge of Windows Server Operating Systems deployed in Azure (IaaS, SaaS, PaaS).
• Strong scripting and PowerShell skills.
• Experience building, configuring, hardening Windows servers.
• Experience managing the Azure platform using Intune.
• Advanced experience with Azure Active Directory management & administration.
• Ability to deploy and manage IaaS resources via Terraform (Infrastructure as code).
Preferred:
• ITILv3 or v4 Foundation’s certification.
• Previous DHS or DoD experience.
• Other hands-on Microsoft Windows administrator certifications.
• Microsoft Azure Fundamentals.
• CompTIA A+, or Network+, or Security+.
• Experience with Azure Cloud, scripting, and automation.
