Description

Vamonos IT is seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Microsoft Azure Engineer to join our dedicated cloud services team. In this role, you will architect, implement, and maintain Azure-based solutions for our diverse portfolio of clients. You will work closely with client stakeholders as well as internal teams to design scalable, secure, and cost-effective cloud infrastructures, ensuring their digital transformation journey is seamless and impactful.


Responsibilities

  • Design and Implement Azure Solutions: Lead the architecture, deployment, and management of Azure cloud resources, including virtual machines, networking, storage, identity solutions, and security controls.
  • Cloud Migration: Plan and execute migration strategies from on-premises and other cloud platforms to Azure, leveraging best practices to minimize downtime and ensure data integrity.
  • Security & Compliance: Implement robust security protocols, monitor threats, and ensure compliance with industry standards such as ISO, SOC, GDPR, and client-specific policies.
  • Automation & Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Use tools such as ARM templates, Bicep, Terraform, and Azure DevOps pipelines to automate deployments and manage infrastructure efficiently.
  • Performance Optimization: Monitor, analyze, and tune Azure resources for optimal performance, scalability, and cost-effectiveness.
  • Troubleshooting & Support: Diagnose and resolve cloud-related issues, provide technical guidance, and support clients throughout their Azure journey.
  • Documentation: Create and maintain comprehensive documentation covering architectures, procedures, and best practices for internal and client use.
  • Collaboration: Work cross-functionally with project managers, developers, and other engineers to deliver integrated cloud solutions.
  • Continuous Learning: Stay abreast of the latest Azure features, industry trends, and emerging technologies; actively contribute to Vamonos IT's knowledge base and innovation initiatives.
  • Support internal Vamonos IT initiatives and operations as needed.
  • Support the Vamonos IT business development initiatives and team.
  • Engage/complete continuing education/certification processes as prescribed by customer and/or Vamonos IT.


Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent hands-on experience)
  • Minimum of 3 years' hands-on experience managing and supporting Microsoft Azure environments
  • Strong grasp of Azure services, including VM, storage, networking, security, identity, and monitoring
  • Proficient in scripting and automation (PowerShell, Azure CLI, ARM Templates, Bicep, or Terraform)
  • Experience with cloud migration, hybrid cloud, and multi-cloud architectures
  • Solid understanding of networking concepts (VNet, VPN, ExpressRoute, NSG, firewall, load balancing)
  • Experience implementing security controls and monitoring in Azure
  • Excellent problem-solving, troubleshooting, and analytical skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to explain complex concepts to non-technical stakeholders
  • Azure certification(s) such as Azure Administrator Associate, Azure Solutions Architect, or equivalent


Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Azure DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, and managing code repositories
  • Knowledge of containerization with Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS), Docker, and microservices architectures
  • Experience integrating Azure with other cloud platforms (AWS, GCP) and on-premises systems
  • Familiarity with governance, cost management, tagging strategies, and resource optimization
  • Exposure to data platforms in Azure (SQL Database, Cosmos DB, Data Factory) and analytics solutions
