Job description

Cloud Engineer, BASYS Processing, Inc., Lenexa, KS

Duties: Lead and design the implementation of scalable cloud solutions and tools. Drive and facilitate team design discussions. Build and develop prototypes to solutions that can be implemented at scale. Participate and develop necessary DevSecOps processes. Strive for continuous improvement and build continuous integration, continuous development, and constant deployment pipeline (CI/CD Pipeline). Identify and deploying cybersecurity measures by continuously performing vulnerability assessment and risk management. Monitor and measure customer experience and KPIs. Encourage and build automated processes wherever possible. Monitor the processes during the entire lifecycle for its adherence and update or create new processes for improvement and minimizing the wastage. Participate in Agile ceremonies, such as daily stand-ups, iteration planning, demos retrospectives, and program increment planning. Promote technical solution from development to production environments following established processes. Work closely with Business and Product Team Stakeholders to facilitate requirements and the design of technical solutions, communicates status and technical issues. Influence and educate stakeholders by prototyping, performing demos and promoting platform capabilities. No hire/fire authority.

Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Data Science, Computer Science, Software, or related discipline, plus one year of related experience in a financial institution or in a Devops, Cloud, or Software Engineering position. Experience working on Linux based infrastructure. One year of Azure Cloud Services including CLI, Powershell, or ARM. Experience with development processes and the full software development lifecycle including Agile methodologies. Experience with Microsoft Office Suite and CRM. Telecommuting is allowed within a reasonable commuting distance from the Lenexa, KS office.
