As a Junior Cloud Data Engineer, you will oversee the implementation and management of our cloud infrastructure on the multi cloud environment (AWS, GCP and Azure). You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to assess requirements, develop cloud solutions, and ensure the security, scalability, and reliability of our cloud-based systems. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in cloud services, infrastructure architecture, and a deep understanding of cloud platform engineering and cloud infrastructure provisioning. You will participate in implementation reviews of cloud environments, bring engineering best practices, lead and implement changes, and inspire teams toward delivery excellence.
This is a hybrid role: in office days are Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday
Responsibilities:
  • Lead the implementation of the multi-cloud platform/architecture while collaborating with cross-functional teams.
  • Design, implement, and manage highly available and scalable cloud infrastructure on AWS, Azure, or GCP.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders and application teams to understand business requirements, translate them into cloud architecture designs, and provide operational support to application teams.
  • Develop and maintain cloud data migration strategies, including assessing existing systems, identifying gaps, and recommending remediation and infrastructure implementation plans.
  • Ensure the security, availability, and performance of cloud resources through proper design and configuration.
  • Implement and optimize cloud-based infrastructure solutions, such as virtual networks, private service access, storage, databases, compute resources, and identity and access management.
  • Define and enforce cloud governance policies, including resource tagging, access controls, and cost management.
  • Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve issues related to cloud infrastructure, ensuring high availability and performance.
  • Stay up to date with the latest trends and advancements in multi-cloud and hybrid-cloud technologies and provide recommendations for continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including enterprise architects, developers, network administrators, security specialists, and cloud providers to ensure seamless integration of cloud solutions.
  • Work with DevOps and IaC tools such as GitHub, Jenkins, Docker and Terraform.
  • Ensure the security and compliance of all Sysco's cloud infrastructure, data, applications, and configurations.
  • Design / Develop Scripts for Automation where appropriate.

Requirements:
  • Knowledge of cloud infrastructure, cloud services, and multi-cloud and hybrid-cloud technologies.
  • Should have a proven track record in implementing and managing systems and infrastructure within a cloud computing environment.
  • A Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or an equivalent field.
  • Over 3 years of industry experience and more than 2 years of hands-on work with public cloud platforms.
  • Certification in any major public cloud platform.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, capable of working effectively in cross-functional teams.
