Job Title:
Staff Engineer I- Endpoint Engineering

What you'll do:
As an IT Staff Engineer I you'll work in a mid-level role with proficiency in one or more key products who is responsible for managing and supporting the organization's IT infrastructure or applications. You'll identify development and support needs as well as taking on design responsibilities supporting project tasks. As a IT Staff Engineer I, you'll facilitate dialogue and activities, while also ensuring team collaboration.
  • Take assignments that can be worked on individually without supervision, and manage work effort from concept to completion.
  • Design and implement engineering principles aimed at reliability practices and sound recovery procedures.
  • Design transaction specific application performance monitoring metrics that can be captured and passed to business partners. In Addition, will layout reference architecture and visual diagrams that capture work.
  • Ensure compliance with IT policies, procedures, and industry standards, including reviewing and refining IT control enhancements.
  • Strong administrative and engineering knowledge of Microsoft Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD) is required
  • Administrative knowledge of Nerdio tools to manage AVD and Intune
  • Strong working knowledge of Active Directory and Entra/Azure AD
  • Works with leaders, stakeholders, and IT partners to understand business requirements and help resolve systems issues
  • Reviews existing integration capabilities, automation options, and proposed solution designs for feasibility, cost, and functionality in coordination with internal departments
  • Performs installation, configuration, testing and maintenance of operating systems, software and systems management tools
  • Supports the creation and maintenance of policies for application deployment, device compliance, and security configurations.
  • Helps assess the effectiveness and efficiency of existing systems and contributes to improvements where appropriate
  • Collaborates on configuration design and implementation activities to support End User Computing business needs
  • Monitors and tests system performance and helps prepare performance statistics and reports as needed
  • Supports the bank's commitment to risk management and protecting the integrity and confidentiality of systems and data.
  • Completes work in a timely and accurate manner while providing exceptional customer service

What you'll need:
  • 5+ years of related experience in IT App Support, IT Development, IT Networking, or similar field.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science and/or Information Technology required or equivalent experience.
  • Intermediate to advanced knowledge of general Financial Services or Banking preferred.
  • Advanced knowledge of applicable regulatory and legal compliance obligations, rules and regulations, industry standards and practices.
  • Advanced proven experience in leading cross-functional teams and managing multiple projects simultaneously. Additional experience with pipeline development and leveraging Azure DevOps while working on multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Intermediate to advanced ability to see the big picture and align projects with organizational goals. Capable of leading and motivating cross-functional teams. Expertise in resolving conflicts and addressing challenges as well as skilled at identifying and mitigating risks at the project level. Proficient in governance patterns tied to intake, technical reviews and architectural compliance.
  • Advanced speaking and writing communication skills.
  • May require up to 25% travel.
  • Experience supporting the design, implementation, and operation of software systems, applications, and related infrastructure solutions is preferred, particularly within End User, Server, or Cloud environments
  • Strong experience with systems planning, security principles, and general software management and hardware best practices
  • Certifications such as Microsoft AZURE Fundamentals (AZ-900), PowerShell, MECM, Intune, Cloud Certification are strongly preferred or equivalent experience in using/supporting the associated tools
  • Strong ability to communicate across all levels of the organization. Must be able to clearly explain technical ideas and concepts to non-technical audiences both verbally and in writing
  • Strong knowledge and experience in a wide range of technologies such as Microsoft Windows, Intune, Active Directory, AZURE, VDI, user and group management, etc.
  • Strong experience with PowerShell scripting and GPO distribution
  • Strong experience with Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager or MECM to create and deploy packages for Windows
  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills with the ability to provide clear instructions
  • Ability to work in a team-oriented and collaborative environment
