Overview:

This position serves as a technical Azure DevOps/ AWS expert responsible for the design, implementation, and support of cloud-based information technology solutions in current and future state. This role includes building, maintaining, and operationalizing infrastructure, security services, and system components in commercial or government cloud service providers to deliver highly available and scalable services. The level of work required is considered advanced, and staff must be able to work under minimal supervision. This position is also responsible for collaborating with other peer architects and application developers to establish shared responsibilities to maintain, improve, and develop our cloud presences (primarily Microsoft AzureAWSSalesforceServiceNow, and SharePoint, etc.). Additional duties require a thorough knowledge of Microsoft Servers (v2008 and greater) for proper configuration, in support of application/code deployments through any given SDLC, which this position will also be responsible for overseeing

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the operational design, maintenance, and operation of cloud-based platforms (Azure, AWS, Salesforce, etc.)
  • Lead discussion and provide guidance to technical teams regarding operational, technical, and procedural best practices and functional experience
  • Lead automation efforts to minimize manual work and ensure transparency in all aspects of the secure cloud ecosystem
  • Lead efforts with stakeholders to obtain and translate requirements into technical implementations
  • Deploy, configure, and maintain containers, Kubernetes, and automation tools.
  • Lead efforts to integrate existing legacy systems with proposed systems by identifying gaps between the current and future state, and potentially lead the implementation of solutions
  • Oversee and develop continuous delivery and continuous integration frameworks and tools
  • Setup framework, processes, and operations for infrastructure as code and automation
  • Lead technical and end-user resources to execute detailed tests and analyze testing results.
  • Document & communicate issues, solutions, and timelines to appropriate stakeholders
  • Assist with implementation of customer side monitoring tools and lead operation outage events
  • Manage cloud infrastructure including networking, storage, and computer services.
  • Provide timely/responsive technical support and leadership both within and across departments and applications including rotational 24/7 on call support.

Required Skills:

  • Master’s degree in computer science, Information Systems Technology or related field.
  • Current Azure AZ-305 – is mandatory
  • Current AWS Solutions Architect Professional –is mandatory
  • Current Salesforce AD201 & AD301 is preferred.
  • At least two of the following Operating System training/certifications preferred: Microsoft Certified System Administration; Engineer training/certifications; Microsoft Certified Solution Expert. Current Unix/Linux Operating System training/certifications.
  • At least 10 years of computer systems analyst/network administrator experience.
  • 5+ years working with cloud-based platforms (Azure, AWS, Google Cloud, etc.) in an enterprise environment
  • 7+ years software engineering experience in a team-based environment Advanced experience integrating legacy platforms and applications with cloud-based systems
  • Strong verbal and written communications skills required. Must be able to create and deliver presentations to technical and/or business audience.
  • Advanced experience with integrating SaaS providers and working in a multivendor integrated environment
  • Advanced experience with Web Services, API, REST, RPC
  • Advanced knowledge of cloud-based platforms Azure, AWS, Google Cloud, etc.
  • Strong Understanding of advanced networking concepts, virtualization, and cloud security
  • Advanced experience with deploying, managing, operating and monitoring of applications in scalable (Containers, Kubernetes, and Automation tools.), highly available and fault tolerant data centers (both on premise and hosted)
  • Advanced experience learning, sharing, and implementing best practices with the ability to define operational processes, implement DevOps, deployment checklists, etc.
  • Advanced ability to solve problems by considering available information, prioritizing and making timely decisions; correlate data using standard business and technology tools and approaches, spot trends and apply sound security and risk management principles
  • Advanced experience to assess necessary activities and prioritize for completion of assignments using excellent time management, prioritization skills and work ethic
  • Advanced experience using Terraform, YAML, Azure Cloud-Hub
