Azteca information

What are Aztecas?

The term 'Azteca' typically refers to the Aztec people, who were an indigenous civilization that dominated central Mexico from the 14th to the 16th centuries. The Aztecs are known for their rich culture, impressive architecture, and advanced agricultural techniques. They built the powerful city of Tenochtitlan, which is now Mexico City, and established a vast empire before the Spanish conquest in the early 1500s. The word 'Azteca' can also be used in modern contexts, such as in the names of companies or sports teams, but historically it refers to this prominent Mesoamerican civilization.
