• Conduct thorough assessments and evaluations to identify the mental health needs of students and develop customized treatment plans aimed at promoting their well-being.
• Implement evidence-based therapeutic interventions, utilizing techniques such as cognitive-behavioral therapy, play therapy, and other modalities appropriate for children and adolescents.
• Collaborate regularly with educators, school counselors, case managers, and psychiatrists to create a comprehensive and responsive care network for each student.
• Provide crisis intervention for students experiencing acute emotional distress, ensuring immediate and compassionate support to de-escalate situations and connect individuals to necessary resources.
• Participate in community outreach initiatives to raise awareness about mental health, focusing on resilience and coping strategies among students and their families.

This role primarily serves students from diverse ethnic, cultural, and socioeconomic backgrounds. You will work with individuals facing a range of challenges such as anxiety, depression, behavioral issues, and trauma. Our focus is on creating a safe and affirming environment where students feel heard and supported, paving the way for positive mental health outcomes.

• Possession of an active independent license as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), or Doctor of Psychology (PsyD).
• A completed master’s degree or doctoral degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Psychology.
• Exercise exceptional communication skills, fostering rapport and trust with students and their families through active listening and empathy.
• Cultural competence in working with a vibrant and diverse student population, demonstrating sensitivity and respect for varying backgrounds.
• Strong organizational abilities that facilitate precise documentation and reporting to comply with school and state regulations.

• A minimum of two years of experience in mental health therapy, particularly within educational or school settings.
• Prior involvement in crisis interventions and experience with trauma-informed care approaches.
• Familiarity with digital tools for teletherapy, case management software, and electronic health records (EHRs).
