Job description

IT Analyst II – End User Support

5+ Month W2 Contract (No C2C/No Visa or Student Sponsorship)

Onsite daily in San Francisco, CA [94105]

Pay up to $60/hr. (No PTO and No Paid Holidays)


The ideal candidate is a hands-on and motivated contractor focused on end-user support and endpoint management, with experience using PowerShell and familiarity with Microsoft technologies including Entra ID/Active Directory, Intune, Azure, and Microsoft 365 to support automation, identity management, device administration, and cloud-based environments. Certifications involving Azure such as MD-102, SC-300, or AZ-104 is highly preferred.


Summary

Seeking a hands-on and motivated contractor focused on end-user support and endpoint management


Duties

Endpoint Management & Intune

  • Manage Intune packages, policies, compliance, and device enrollments
  • Administer Autopilot configuration and drive process improvements
  • Maintain Configuration Profiles using ADMX templates, Settings Catalog, and administrative templates
  • Manage update rings for Windows quality and feature updates
  • Configure, image, and deploy Windows endpoints, including hardware modifications
  • Manage Proactive Remediations scripts for endpoint health


Troubleshooting

  • Diagnose and resolve device, network, and software issues including VPN, Windows updates, and applications M365 (OneDrive, SharePoint, etc.), or otherwise
  • Analyze Intune management logs, Endpoint Manager diagnostics, and Entra ID sign-in logs to resolve enrollment, compliance, and authentication failures


Identity & Access

  • Administer users, devices, and groups in Active Directory and Entra ID, including review and creation of dynamic groups with complex membership rules
  • Create, troubleshoot, and document Conditional Access policies, including device compliance conditions
  • Support Entra ID Join and Hybrid Join configurations
  • Troubleshoot, resolve, or escalate Entra enterprise applications used for SAML and SSO


Platform Administration

  • Administer and utilize users, permissions, ticketing, and reporting for Zen Desk
  • Administer and utilize TeamViewer for users and devices
  • Monitor and escalate software license capacity thresholds


Meeting & End-User Support

  • Provide live technical support for in-person, hybrid, and remote meetings
  • Assist and train end-user support staff on tools and procedures


Documentation & Automation

  • Create and maintain SOPs, job aids, and knowledge base articles in collaboration with other end user support team members
  • Leverage PowerShell for scripting, bulk device management, reporting, and endpoint remediation


Required Skills

  • Experience in managing Intune policies, administering users and groups in Active Directory (AD) and Entra ID
  • Experience troubleshooting device and application issues, supporting in-person, remote, and hybrid meetings
  • Skilled in creating high-value documentation
  • Entra/AD, Intune, PowerShell, TeamViewer and Microsoft 365
  • Certifications involving Azure such as MD-102, SC-300, or AZ-104 and hands-on experience


Preferred Qualifications

  • Strong understanding of Azure Virtual Desktop management via Intune
  • Strong understanding of third-party patch management integrations with Intune, such as Patch My PC
  • Basic KQL proficiency for querying Entra ID and device logs
  • Administering Microsoft endpoint and identity platforms in a production environment are highly desirable.


The estimated pay range for this position is USD $47.00/hr - USD $60.00/hr.
