Job description

AWS is seeking an experienced entertainment marketing builder to lead and grow our entertainment partnership vertical. As Entertainment Partnerships Lead, you will own the end-to-end strategy, rights management, and activation of AWS's established entertainment partnerships, spanning live events and premier content and experiences. This is a unique role that combines partnership development with hands-on campaign execution, owning both the relationship and the go-to-market work within AWS Sports & Entertainment Marketing.

You will lead established, high-visibility partnerships while shaping new opportunities to build out the entertainment vertical, bringing new audience segments, cultural relevance, and storytelling opportunities to AWS's brand marketing.
You will report into the Director of Sports and Entertainment Marketing, and work cross-functionally with brand, communications, product marketing, and creative teams to bring entertainment partnerships to life.
Key job responsibilities
Partnership Strategy & Rights Management: Own the entertainment partnership portfolio strategy. Manage established rights agreements across the portfolio, including contractual entitlements, funds, and asset allocation. As the expert in this space you will be seeking new opportunities and pushing how we think about our portfolio today and into the future.
Integrated Activation: Develop and deliver marketing campaigns that bring entertainment partnerships to life across the full marketing funnel

Own the activation calendar, creative briefing, and campaign reporting. This role owns both the relationship and the go-to-market execution end to end, driving tighter creative alignment and faster speed to market.
Live Events & Music: Serve as the primary relationship owner for AWS's live events and music partnerships. Develop activation programs across live events, festivals, and venue experiences that showcase AWS technology

Identify artist and tour integrations where AWS plays a visible, compelling role.
Content & Experiences: Own and grow AWS's content and experiences partnerships. Work with partner counterparts to define rights packages, co-marketing opportunities, and activation roadmaps. Navigate complex IP and approvals ecosystems and develop programs that connect AWS's technology story to premier content, experiences, and destinations.
Content & Storytelling: Develop content strategies that translate entertainment partnerships into compelling brand narratives

Partner with AWS channel and digital marketing teams to drive earned media, social amplification, and real-time event coverage. Identify AWS technology stories within each partnership that resonate with fans, media, and enterprise customers.
Cross-Functional Leadership: Serve as the central point of coordination between AWS Sports & Entertainment Marketing, Brand, Communications, Product Marketing, and Business Development for all entertainment-related initiatives. Manage agency and production partners involved in entertainment activations.
Executive Communication: Create executive-ready materials, partnership updates, and strategic recommendations for VP-level stakeholders

Serve as the internal subject matter expert on the entertainment partnership landscape and AWS's position within it.
Measurement & Optimization: Define KPIs and success metrics for each entertainment partnership. Work with business operations, customer research, data scientists, economists, and finance partners to maintain dashboards that demonstrate ROI, audience reach, and brand impact. Use data to inform future strategy, activation investments, and portfolio decisions.
A day in the life
As the end-to-end owner of a partnership you wear all the hats within the business

No two days look the same in this role. One morning you're on a call with a partner reviewing activation concepts; the afternoon is spent in a creative review with your agency partner on campaign assets. The next day you're presenting a partnership performance narrative to Marketing leadership and writing your strategy narrative for the year ahead.
You are equally comfortable in the relationship work and the execution work

You understand the partners deeply and can guide the relationship to be mutually beneficial for both parties. You keep AWS marketing and storytelling in mind throughout your day-to-day enabling you to have quick and measurable decisions. You know when to push a partner and when to flex, and you can translate a rights package into a campaign strategy without needing someone else to connect the dots.
You will work closely with creatives, data analysts, product marketers, communications leads, and senior executives

You bring structure to complex partner ecosystems, thrive in fast-moving environments, and get energized by both stewarding an established portfolio and building what comes next. You are excited to shape the entertainment playbook on a team with a strong track record of world-class partnership marketing.
About the team
The AWS Sports & Entertainment Marketing team manages AWS's portfolio of global sports and entertainment partnerships, including the NFL, NBA, PGA TOUR, and Bundesliga. Our team is responsible for global portfolio strategy, partnership management, integrated marketing planning, and go-to-market execution and measurement

We sit at the intersection of sports, entertainment, technology, and brand, translating AWS's behind-the-scenes infrastructure into stories that resonate with fans, partners, and press worldwide. This role leads our established entertainment portfolio and carries significant opportunity to expand the vertical with culturally resonant properties.
