Job description

We are seeking an experienced AWS Cloud Infrastructure Architect to design, implement, and optimize secure, scalable, and highly available cloud infrastructure solutions. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in AWS services, cloud networking, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), and DevOps practices. This role will drive cloud architecture standards, infrastructure governance, cost optimization, and operational excellence while providing technical leadership across cloud initiatives.

Required Skills
  • 10+ years of IT infrastructure experience with extensive AWS Cloud architecture expertise.
  • Strong hands-on experience with AWS services including:
    • Compute (EC2, ECS/EKS)
    • Storage (S3, EBS, EFS)
    • Networking (VPC, Route Tables, Transit Gateway, Direct Connect, VPN)
    • Load Balancers (ALB/NLB)
    • Auto Scaling
    • Cloud Monitoring & Logging (CloudWatch, CloudTrail)
    • Serverless services (Lambda, API Gateway)
  • Strong experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, AWS CloudFormation).
  • Expertise designing highly available, scalable, secure, and fault-tolerant cloud environments.
  • Strong understanding of cloud networking, virtual networking, hybrid connectivity, and routing.
  • Experience implementing Disaster Recovery (DR), backup, and business continuity solutions.
  • Knowledge of cloud security best practices, governance, and compliance frameworks.
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
  • Strong documentation, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
Preferred Skills
  • Experience with cloud cost optimization and FinOps practices.
  • Knowledge of multi-account AWS environments and landing zone architectures.
  • Exposure to container platforms (Docker, Kubernetes, Amazon EKS).
  • Familiarity with GenAI and Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) solutions.
  • AWS Professional-level certifications are preferred.
Key Responsibilities
  • Design end-to-end AWS cloud infrastructure architectures for high availability, scalability, security, and performance.
  • Evaluate, recommend, and implement AWS services, cloud technologies, and infrastructure best practices.
  • Lead infrastructure provisioning and automation using Terraform, AWS CloudFormation, or other IaC tools.
  • Design cloud networking architectures, including VPCs, routing, security groups, private connectivity, and hybrid cloud integrations.
  • Develop resilient infrastructure with disaster recovery, backup, and fault-tolerance strategies.
  • Establish cloud governance, security guardrails, operational standards, and cost control policies.
  • Review architecture designs, participate in architecture governance boards, and approve infrastructure changes.
  • Monitor infrastructure usage, performance, and cloud spending while recommending optimization opportunities.
  • Collaborate with DevOps, security, application, and operations teams to deliver reliable cloud solutions.
  • Mentor engineering teams and provide architectural guidance throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Communicate technical solutions effectively to both technical and business stakeholders.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
  • AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Professional or equivalent AWS certification is preferred.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, communication, and leadership skills.
