MANTECH seeks a motivated, career and customer-oriented Senior Cloud Engineer to join our team in Crane, IN. This is an onsite position. We are seeking a talented and experienced Senior Cloud Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, deploying, and maintaining secure, highly scalable hybrid-cloud infrastructures to support advanced multi-domain engineering and testing environments. You will be a key player in architecting Impact Level 6 (IL6) cloud enclaves, utilizing Infrastructure as Code (IaC), and enabling seamless integration between centralized data repositories and tactical edge computing nodes. You will use your expertise in cloud architecture and DevSecOps to create and manage authoritative data pipelines and containerized applications, ensuring that systems are secure by design and highly performant. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in cloud computing, a deep understanding of Department of Defense (DoD) security requirements, and a passion for leveraging modern tools to solve complex network challenges. You will work closely with network engineers, software developers, and systems architects to define infrastructure requirements and ensure seamless integration across various security domains. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: * Designing, deploying, and maintaining secure hybrid-cloud architectures and IL6 cloud environments (e.g., AWS GovCloud or Azure Government).
* Developing and maintaining modern Infrastructure as Code (IaC) pipelines to programmatically spin up secure, isolated network environments.
* Utilizing pre-accredited containers (e.g., Platform One's Iron Bank) to build, deploy, and manage hardware-agnostic microservices and containerized applications.
* Architecting and maintaining automated multi-modal Extract, Transform, and Load (ETL) pipelines using tools like Apache Kafka to process high-volume datasets.
* Implementing and managing automated DevSecOps Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines to support rapid, iterative software delivery.
* Designing data ingestion architectures utilizing log forwarders (e.g., Elastic or Fluentd) and integrating high-performance visualization tools (e.g., Grafana or Kibana).
* Allocating heavy, non-real-time workloads to the cloud while optimizing edge nodes for latency-sensitive tactical processing.
* Documenting cloud architectures, automated deployment playbooks, and system configurations clearly and concisely. Minimum Qualifications: * Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, Systems Engineering, Information Technology, or a similar technical field from an ABET-accredited program, or 10 + years of relevant experience.
* Proven experience with enterprise cloud service providers such as Amazon Web Services (AWS), Google Cloud Platform (GCP), or Microsoft Azure.
* Hands-on experience with DevSecOps methodologies, containerization technologies, and CI/CD pipelines.
* Strong proficiency in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools and automation scripting. Preferred Qualifications: * Demonstrated experience with DoD cloud security requirements, specifically Impact Level 6 (IL6) environments and the Risk Management Framework (RMF).
* Experience working with Platform One's Iron Bank or similar DoW-approved software building blocks.
* Familiarity with high-volume data streaming and pipeline tools such as Apache Kafka.
* Experience in the defense industry, specifically supporting complex simulation, Live, Virtual, and Constructive (LVC) environments, or tactical networks. Clearance Requirements: * Must possess an active Top Secret clearance with TS/SCI eligibility. Physical Requirements: * The person in this position must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time.
* Occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, or to communicate with co-workers, management, and customers, via email, phone, and or virtual communication, which may involve delivering presentations.
