THE BIG PICTURE

Folsomdale Baptist Church (https://www.facebook.com/folsomdalebaptist) is seeking a full-time Pastor. We are prayerfully seeking the man God has chosen to be our next Pastor. We look forward with anticipation to welcoming an authentic, Gospel-driven, and relationally gifted shepherd who will lead, inspire, and walk alongside us in faith and love.

RequirementsOur Vision

We desire a Pastor of integrity who models a deep, abiding relationship with Jesus Christ and demonstrates a steadfast commitment to the truth of Scripture. He should be a compassionate leader, a teacher of the Word, and an encourager of God’s people. We hope for a man who will engage with our community, preach and teach with clarity and conviction, and serve with enthusiasm and humility.

About Folsomdale Baptist Church
Our History and Heart

Founded in 1867 by German Baptist immigrants, Folsomdale Baptist Church celebrated its 150th anniversary in 2017. Once a vibrant congregation with a dynamic pastor, youth ministry, and thriving Awana program, we now find ourselves a smaller, older body of believers—yet still deeply committed to God’s work. Our surrounding community includes many young families, and we believe there is great potential for renewal and growth under the right shepherd’s leadership. We have the facilities, resources, and the heart—many of us long to see our children and grandchildren grow up in the same faith community that shaped our lives. There is a mission field all around us—people hungry for the truth and hope of God’s Word.

Our Facilities

Our church building is attractive and well-maintained, featuring:
• A 260-seat sanctuary
• Sunday School wing and nursery
• Full kitchen, offices, and fellowship areas
We are a friendly, faithful, and caring congregation of approximately 45 people in weekly attendance. Our members love the Lord and one another, and we are confident that He will continue to use Folsomdale Baptist Church for His honor and glory.

Our Church Family

Folsomdale Baptist Church is part of the North American Baptist Conference, yet remains an autonomous local church. Our leadership includes a Board of Deacons and a Board of Trustees. We are debt-free, mission-minded, and biblically grounded.
We emphasize:
• Winning the lost and nurturing spiritual growth
• Prayer in every ministry
• Sound, Bible-centered preaching
• Joyful giving to support local and global missions
Our Mission Statement:
“To glorify God by winning souls for Christ, training and equipping believers in the Word of God, ministering to the needs of the saints, and showing the love of Christ in every endeavor.”

Our Community

Folsomdale is nestled in rural Cowlesville, Wyoming County, part of beautiful Western New York. The area offers stunning natural scenery, four distinct seasons, and abundant outdoor recreation.
We are blessed with:
• A high-quality public school system in nearby Attica, where Bible clubs, Christian music, and prayer are still welcomed
• Two Christian schools within 20 miles
• Major hospitals and services just 25 minutes away in Buffalo
• Colleges and universities offering excellent higher education opportunities
It’s an ideal place to raise a family and enjoy a close-knit, faith-oriented community.

Qualifications & Responsibilities

We are seeking:
• A family man whose wife supports his ministry and loves the congregation
• With a college or Biblical degree (required); pastoral experience preferred
Responsibilities include:
• Preaching and teaching God’s Word
• Leading the spiritual development of the congregation
• Providing pastoral care to members and the community
• Offering administrative leadership and oversight
• Conducting baptisms, communion, weddings, and funerals with compassion and wisdom
• Living as an example of Christian character and service

We offer a total salary package of $55,000 which includes a beautiful three-bedroom parsonage on church property with all utilities and maintenance.
